When you are 18 years old in most states and have a job, technically you are already emancipated from your parents. You are responsible for your own life, so therefore if you don't want a relationship with your father, that is your choice.

An 18 year old is legally an adult. There are personal choices to not deal with a person but a father does not need to support someone who's an adult.
