DL is an ISO standard size envelope. It is 110 by 220 millimeters in size and meant to hold a third of a ISO standard A4 piece of paper. It is typically not used in North America.
A dl envelope measures 4.125 inches wide and 8.375 inches long. However, there is some tolerance in these measurements, so individual envelopes might be slightly larger or smaller.
