Rhubarb leaves are poisonous to dogs. Vomiting is the main sign that a dog has been poisoned. The first thing you should do is contact your vet. Take note of how much the dog as eaten, as if this will help your vet determine the seriousness of the situation.

Contact your vet immediately. Rhubarb can be toxic to dogs so if your dog ingested some it could seriously harm him.

Nothing, It is natural and it wont hurt your dog at all it just doesn't taste real good which surprises me the dog chewed on it. The most it may do is if the dog has any parasites it may help to get rid of them because it is acidic.

Have just had my dog to the vet after eating rhubarb and he is on a watch overnight and tomorrow after they made him vomit. He's 90 pounds and didn't eat much, but it's still a danger. Rhubarb is poisonous to dogs.  add a comment

Well, if you noticed any changes in his skin, coat or texture or any of the above, then take him to the doctor. Otherwise, I don't think that it will have much of an affect. It could to some extent be poisonous and too toxic so take him to the vet.

Rhubarb leaves are moderately poisonous to dogs. If you suspect poisoning, call your vet or pet poison control immediately. Generally speaking, the smaller the dog, the less needed to make the dog ill. Dogs with rhubarb poisoning may stagger and tremble. They may seem weak and have difficulty breathing. You may also notice increased urination and drinking along with diarrhea.
