Your hot water furnace should be around 150 degrees. Any hotter and you end up wasting money. Any cooler, not enough water.

For a forced hot water system, the accepted range would be around 180 degrees, though it is acceptable to have it as high as 210 in situations like severe weather.

The most common setting is between 110 and 120 degrees. If the temperature is too low, your furnace will do more work to heat your home.
