You should keep the area clean to avoid further infection and if it gets worse or seems to be bothering it, you should take it to a vet.

Take him/her to an EXOTICS vet (not an ordinary cat/dog one) for treatment. If dealt with quickly and properly it is easily curable, but can be fatal if left untreated.

Take him/her to an exotics (not an ordinary cat/dog) vet for the best course of treatment. It will have to be drained or surgically removed, and you will have to be very careful to prevent infection. If left too long, some abscesses can be fatal.

It is important to catch them early and get them treated. A trained EXOTICS specialist vet will likely have to aspirate it and surgically remove it. Then you will have to give him/her antibiotics and keep the area clean to prevent infection. Abscesses can be treated.

Abscesses need vet attention. Find a vet who specializes in rodents/exotics to remove the abscess (often a surgical procedure) and stop the spread of bacteria. You will need a curved syringe to flush the area and keep it clean. Make sure to follow the vet's instructions carefully to save your pig's life.

These can quickly become serious/fatal. You will have to take your pig to a qualified exotics vet for removal. You will likely be given something to flush the abscess with and have to keep a close eye on him for a while. Make sure the cage is kept extra clean and maybe separate from other pigs, just in case.

If a guinea pig has an abscess, it is crucial to get them vet care immediately to stop the spread of infection. Abscesses almost always require surgery.
