You will want to make sure you have them barried at the correct depth according to the NEC code. You will also want to make sure that you have wire that is rated to be barried. Another thing you may want to do is put caution tape above the barried wire.

Know very well not to touch any live wire after getting connected to the electcity line. Keep children away from reach of any switch
