It's likely that stones in your fireplace are porous, which means that painting them could do permanent damage and also leave your paint job looking spotty. Before painting, try using a clear lacquer over the stones first, letting it dry, and then painting them your color of choice.

A faux stone fireplace can be painted. Any type of paint can be used , but stay away from bright colors. White and cream are the norm , even beiges or browns can be great alternatives.

It can be painted though it is not recommended. Considering the cost of the fire[place as is, it is not the best choice. Also, seeing as how the surface is uneven and porous it would be difficult to get an even coating of pain to give it a uniform appearance.

Painting any kind of stone is an aesthetic stretch. If you're determined to do it, go with a white or off-white latex.

These can usually be painted using any interior house paint. The materials used to make them do vary a bit, however, so you should test a little bit on an unobtrusive spot before painting the whole thing. Be sure to prime it, as well.

If this is a fireplace that is actually used, you will probably not be able to paint it because the heat will destroy the paint. You can try enamel, though.
