Bettas must be fed multiple times daily, but they cannot be fed too much at one time. If too much food is left uneaten in the water, it will pollute the water. Therefore, a betta should be fed 2-3 tablets of food 2-3 times per day.

Do not to overfeed this fish, especially if there is no filtration system, it will foul the water quickly. Feed the fish beta food, 2 pellets every other day

For feeding a betta fish, make sure only to feed the betta fish the right amount of food as it is specified on the bottle. If you feed it too much, the food will pollute the water that the fish is living in and could cause the fish to die.

Betta fish are very easy to take care of. Feeding them special betta food will keep them healthy and maintain or even improve their coloring. Another important thing to keep in mind is to not over feed them - they really only need a few pellets of food per day. Most food containers will have instructions as well.

There are fish food pellets made specifically for Bettas. They can also be fed brine shrimp and bloodworms - these can be fresh or frozen. Do not overfeed them!
