As a bottom feeder, your Bichir fish will enthusiastically accept ghost shrimp, shrimp pellets or frozen shrimp as well. This in addition to earthworms and beef heart, their favorite, will encourage rapid growth.

It is perfectly safe to feed Bichir fish shrimp. What you should not probably feed a Bichir fish is warm blooded animal meat, since it is not what they eat in their normal habitat.

Yes, you may feed your bichir fish shrimp. It will also enjoy other small crustations and insects. The bicher fish will eat small fish too.
