Your doc will use a needle to aspirate and drain around your operated site if you accumulate any fluid after your surgery and the regular drains have been removed. I know people who have had this even a month after the surgery. it's sometimes problematic

Yup - very annoying. If it's just clear serous fluid it's OK. Problem is if it is bloody, infected or large quantities. You'll need to visit the doctor often and the aspiration process sometimes hurts!  add a comment

Most surgeons use tube drains after a tummy tuck to prevent fluid accumulation in the operation site. They keep the drains for 1-2 weeks and remove it when it stops draining fluid. It feels a little weird but you get used to it - it's only for a short time.

This is a pretty simple procedure. They doctor removes some subcutaneous fat, pulls the skin tight and you have your tummy tuck. The "needle drain" just referes to the lipsuction device (it looks like a big needle).

Seroma is a pretty common problem after tummy tucks. But if it keeps recollecting a needle draining procedure is needed. It's an out-patient procedure and fairly short. My friend had upto 500 ml removed in one sitting!

The risk of having a needle drain is that if not properly taken care of, you risk infection in the drain incisions.

the tummy tuck can be reduced by going to treatment with a doctor. after 2 or 3 weeks the needle will be drained and the fat will be taken out. the fat has to be reduced slowly. the treatment will improve us to get rid of fat. which will in turn makes us look good.
