Herpetic stomatitis is a disease caused by Herpes virus hominis or Herpes simplex virus (HSV). It is manifested by blistering and ulcers of mouth, decreased appetite with difficulty in swallowing, drooling, fever, and irritability. If not treated, it may develop to herpetic keratoconjunctivitis.
