What should I do if my car fuse keeps breaking?

Well normally when this happens a wire is grounded out somewhere. If you have a voltmeter you could test the lenght of wire between that fuse and its component resistancetest

Either have a short somewhere in the wiring, blowing fuse, or accessory the fuse is connected to is malfunctioning. It will have to be tested to find the exact cause.

A fuse is used to protect an electrical circuit. They are designed to "pop" when there is an excessive current going though the circuit. My guess is if the fuse keeps breaking there is something wrong with the wiring of that circuit. Go through that circuit and try to find the excessive draw

I you have a fuse that constantly blows there is probably a electrical issue. Check the system for shorts or frayed wire because this can be a fire hazard.

The electrical system which corresponds to the fuse should be inspected. If the fuse is continually tripped, there is likely a problem or short in the circuit.

Make sure that you are using the correct amperage of fuse that is required for that slot. if it is the correct fuse then you must trace the wires for that fuse to check for any shorts. the reason that the fuse keeps blowing could be because of a short in the wireing somewhere

The best thing to do is to put a higher fuse in there and if it still blows you are going to want to check the wires to make sure none of them are touching and grounding out.

First, make sure you are buying the correct fuse. Sometimes the aftermarket fuse does not fit properly so get an original manufacturer replacement. If you mean it it keeps blowing, then you have a problem with the electrical system or the accessory itself that is not working properly. Have the item tested.

You can always contact your mechanic to find out what is wrong with your car fuse. However, you can check for yourself by using a voltmeter and testing the length of wire between that fuse and its component. Alternatively, you can check the entire circuit to see if there is grounding and/or excessive draw.

A fuse that "pops" continuously indicates a short (grounding early) in that system. If it's possible, trace the wiring and look for wires that have been rubbed through, pinched or corroded. Look on the back side of switches for any burning and light sockets for similar burns or corrosion. Do NOT use a higher amp fuse or circuit breaker!
