What should I do if I see rabbit bones going through the skin?

My rabbit does not seem like it is in pain but I see a bone sticking through his skin.

You need to take your rabbit to the veterinarian. He probably has a broken bone and although maybe it will heal it can get infected and he can die.

This is serious. In small animals this kind of injury can lead to permanent injury or even death if it is not treated promptly. Please find a qualified exotics vet or emergency clinic in your area as soon as possible, and bring your pet for treatment. Animals do not show pain the same way we do.

Your rabbit is injured. Seeing a bone poking through the skin is a sign that he has a broken bone, a rather bad broken bone. Even though he doesn't seem like he's in pain, that doesn't mean nothings wrong. Take him to the vet.

This means the rabbit has a compound fracture; a break where the bone sticks through the skin. You need to take him to a vet. This is your pet, so it is your responsibility to care for him. If you don't take him to the vet he could die. Please handle him with care.
