If your dog has a bad reaction to a flea and tick treatment, discontinue use of the treatment immediately. Depending on the dog's symptoms, you may want to take him to the veterinarian to make sure he will have no long-term ill effects. You can also discuss more suitable options with your vet.

Bathe your dog with a mild shampoo made especially for dogs and rinse with lots of water. If symptoms persist contact your vet.

Give him a good, thorough bath to wash all of the chemicals off of him. This should take care of it. If problems persist, see a vet.
