It depends on why the dog doesn't want to eat it's food if it doesn't like the food you need different food otherwise there may be something wrong and the dog needs medical trretment.

The best thing to do, especially if it is out of character for your dog to not eat, is to take him to your veterinarian.

I worked at a vet for several years & can tell you if a dog suddenly stops eating you need to take him to the vet immediately to be checked out.

If your dog doesn't want to eat his food, leave the dog alone. Not all dogs eat every time food is presented. Your dog will definitely eat when hungry
