Is it safe for dogs to eat dog food that has bugs in it?

No. No! No! No! Your dogs food has gone spoiled and now has bugs in it. Bugs are not a good thing. In the future if you store your dogs food in an airtight container it will keep the bugs out. Also store it where it's not too warm. Warm temperatures can cause food to spoil.

I guess it depends on the type of bugs. I know dogs eat much worse. If they were my dogs, I wouldn't feed it to them. It just isn't worth taking the chance and having them get sick.

I think this really depends on what kind of bugs we're talking about. I've had a situation when ants "attacked" my dog's food, but they hadn't infested it. I let him eat the food in that case. If you really aren't sure what the bugs are, I wouldn't chance it.

The dogs siliva and stomach acid will kill the bugs. If they hurt the dogs stomach, the dog will throw them up.
