Question by  TheInterrogator (51)

What should I do for my 3 year old with pimple-like spots on their body?

I don't think it's just acne, isn't 3 too young to have pimples?

It is not acne. You should take the child to a doctor. It could be a allergic reaction and it needs to be checked out so it doesn't happen again. It is probably nothing to worry about but it needs to be looked at by a doctor. My daughter did this when she had a reaction to penicillin.

My son gets those pimple-like spots on his body too. It is caused from the heat. Children that young are often way more sensitive to heat and temperature than adults. They usually disappear within a few days.

I don't think it is acne, sounds more like a case of rash or maybe roseacea. First, it could also be coming from dry skin so make sure you apply lotion with vitamin E. If condition persists, see the doctor

Do not pick or scratch at them. That could cause scratches and harm your child. They could be bug bites if your child tries to scratch them or if they're red. They might also be a rash or reaction to something. Another possibility is that they're just goosebumps or pores. If you're really considered, bring it up with a doctor.

I would use a gentle soap when washing his body and make sure to take notice if any changes occur in the next week, if so visit a doctor.

Unfortunately, pimples can occur even in toddlers. If it isn't a rash, just wash with a warm washcloth and mild soap to clear it up.
