Contrary to popular beliefs and sayings, most insects do not arrive through pipes and such to end up in the tub. Usually, they wander in from outside and end up stuck in the tub unable to get out. Most are harmless and are more scared than yourself. Treat areas with spray and don't forget floor areas.

These insects may fall into the bathtub by accident and you do not have to worry about them, you can flush them down. Also keep the windows closed or cover the windows with a net.

dont get afraid and dont panic. Be carefull some of these bugs are extremely poisonous. so dont kill it in the tub itself. Sweep it and then take bath. No worries.

It sounds like the insects in the bathtub may be springtails. You could also have silverfish. Buy some spray at the hardware store and this should take care of them.
