Take him to see his pediatrician. Be sure and take his temperature so that you can let the doctor know if he has been running a fever.

Consider a few things. How long has this been going on, is it accompanied by additional things including, fever, pallor, cold, cough, difficulty breathing? If no other symptoms then generally it is indication of viral or bacterial illness. You should definitely notify your primary care physician for diagnosis.

Swollen lymph nodes could mean a number of things. The size and firmness of the lymph nodes is very relevant as large hard lymph nodes could indicated a very serious problem and could possibly be cancerous. You should take your child to the doctor immediately as there is no point in guessing on your own or making yourself crazy!

Take the little one to a pediatrician but first of all, put baby powder in the underarm to prevent sweating that might cause irritation from the swollen lymph node.

The first thing you should do is take him or her to see a doctor or at least an ARNP. Most likely it is an infection and you will need a prescription for an antibiotic. But you never know so it is best to get it checked out.

Swollen lymph nodes can indicate a variety of health conditions, including colds and infections. They generally require no action, but a doctor should be seen if the lymph nodes remain enlarged for more than three weeks or if redness and irritation develops.
