Your vet will be able to give you a proper diagnosis and prescribe medication. Over-the-counter medications are not always strong enough to combat all kinds of intestinal parasites. You should also be very careful about hygene as people can catch worms from dogs.

What you need to do at this point in time is take your dog to the vet. The Vet will then run some test in order to see what type of worms he has. Only after that will the vet prescribe any medicine that the dog will end up needing.

It sounds like your dog has tape worms. You need to take a stool sample to your vet to have it checked. Most over the counter wormers only take care of round worms. It is possible if it has one type of worm it could possibly have others. It would need a good multi-wormer.

Your dog has parasitic worms, which steal the nutrients from the food he eats and can cause him to starve to even if he eats. Give him a deworming product.

You should definitely take your dog to the vet and get him dewormed. The vet will also be able to prescribe a good worming medicine you can use on a regular (as prescribed) basis. Do this as soon as you can so your dog can have some relief!

Your dog has worms. You should take him to the vet and get him a deworming shot. In the future, you need to give him one of many commercially available deworming treatments regularly so that he doesn't get them again. You should also have him checked for heartworms, which are potentially fatal..
