You can tell your dog has worms by examing their feces. Usually when a dog has worms he/she will have little white worms in the feces. Also, they do a lot of scooting around because their anus will get itchy and irritated.

A lot of times if your dog has gastrointestinal worms, you will be able to see them on the dog's feces after they've used the bathroom. They are usually small, white or pale yellow worms. Your dog may also scratch or lick its anus excessively, and will probably be losing weight.

They may appear in his feces. Also, he will tend to eat a huge amount of food but still suffer from severe weight loss.

A dog will usually let you know if he is experiencing worms, he may be dragging or chewing on his rear. A good check is to collect a fecal sample and examine it for worms, if your still in doubt, most vets can run a check on the sample with out having to see your pet.
