You should have the oil leak fixed. The oil could be leaking from a number of places. It could be your oil pan gasket, your front or rear seal, your oil pressure sending unit, your valve covers, your oil pump, or your intake manifold gasket. Find where the oil is leaking and have it fixed.

Where is it leaking from? If you can't see a leak anywhere, it's the piston rings with means a complete engine rebuild. If you can see a leak, replace the gasket, hose or plug nearest the leak. I need more information to make a more accurate diagnosis.

It really depends on where it is leaking from. There are many seals that could be bad and without more information it would be too hard to make a recommendation.

Make sure you check your seals and your oil pump. It's likely that it was either recently changed and not put back on correctly or the seals have dry rotted. Time for new seals.

Well obviously a oil leak is a bad thing. Not only does it pollute the environment but it could cause your engine to run dry of oil. YOu need to do some inspecting and find the cause. It is probably just an old seal leaking. Just replace it and change the oil.
