Look at every seal for tightness, make sure that you can not tighten them anymore then they are already tightened. Then check to make sure that seals are sealed by loosening them and looking for corruption around the rims.

The best way to troubleshoot an oil leak in a lawn mower engine is to completely clean the engine so that it is free of oil. After it has been cleaned run the lawn mower for approximately 5 minutes. Then turn off the engine and let it cool down. Now look at the engine and see where the leak started.

This might be a little tricky but you should submerge your lawnmower underwater and see the bubbles coming out. It's the only way to check for leaks -- I do it on my old bike tire all the time.
