Question by  Cristina (339)

What should I do about a painful bump on the bottom of my foot?

what can it be?

Answer by  jumbledjava (71)

I think the cause of the bump depends, in part, on how large the bump is. It could be a callous or maybe a bone spurr. I think its possible that it could also be a large wart. In that case, you may want to see a podiatrist. Sometimes surgical procedures can be done to remove the growth.

It is an infection. You have to remove it with a help of a dotcor. You have to be careful as this may spread if you walk without slippers.

It is probably a planta wart that will need to be frozen off by seeing a dermatologist. It will be sore for a short time but will be gone after it heals and will no longer be painful to walk on.

It could be a callous. You could try soaking your feet in a tub of warm water and some epsom salts or dead sea salts.
