Nouns and pronouns are modified by adjectives. Adjectives describe nouns by limiting their characteristics. For example the noun "dress" may be modified by the adjective "red" which, while not identifying a shade of red, clearly distinguishes the dress from one that is blue or green.

Adjectives modify nouns and pronouns by adding in-depth descriptions and contexts to the noun/pronoun, however these aren't to be confused with Adverbs, as Adjectives do not describe actions. Adjectives would be words like: red, Intelligent, charismatic. Adverbs add action to sentences and are paired with nouns ie "he was running fast" to give descriptions for whats happening
