Hyperthyroidism in cats is most commonly manifested by ravenous eating but still losing weight. Vomiting and diarrhea can also be less common symptoms.

If kitty is getting thin and is still eating (or is eating more), that is a sign of an overactive thyroid. Fat cats can sometimes have an under active thyroid.
