What kind of transmission can go into a Firebird?

With out knowing the exact year and engine it is hard to say. With this information I could narrow the options down to a single model and tell you what cars had it. I can tell you that it should be one from another General Motors rear wheel drive car. You best bet is a Camaro with the same engine.

Your question is to broad. The first bird was made for 40 something years. every few years they took a different tranny. Just call a junk yard with your year and they will tell you what you need.
