When leaving a lsit for the babysitter make sure you have the following phone numbers: 911,local police,fire dept, a close neighbor ,immed relative ,like a grandparent ,your work number , cell phone number, leave a portable fire extinguisher ,and an extra set of keys for the sitter in case she needs to leave the house inan emergency with the children.

Emergency numbers, like 911 and the Poison Control Center are good numbers to have on hand. Also, it is important to have the numbers of close family members in case you cannot be contacted. And lastly, the phone number of your cell phone or the number of the place you will be.

Any medication that the child has taken (or will need to take), a few emergency phone numbers and an ETA on your return.

Make sure she has all of the information she would need in case of an emergency. Tell her when the children eat, what they are supposed to eat, when they go to bed and all the important details of those events. Kids like to tell the babysitter what "Mom and Dad do" so make sure she clearly understands your instructions.
