the 1998 sl class is offered as two models a v-8 and a v-12 engine! this car is 12 years old and is not always easy to find a car like this! searching on the net i find that a car like this is buying at 18000$. you can buy it at a minor price but is difficult to find it!

Kelly Blue Book is the best way to determine your cars value, even if it is in pristine condition it may have little or no value. Since it is a mercedes they tend to retain their value better than some cars. You can get a quote on the value of your car at carmax for free.

Either pick up a copy of a national price guide or look online for a free guide. Something like Kell'y blue book will give you a pretty accurate price.

Let me tell you my friend i also had a mercedes convertible and i always got a better offered price from my mercedes dealer. Your sl500 with low milage would be worth $55,600.
