Yes this is a good car or a beginning driver because they will be able to drive an older model car and get used to driving on their own to be able to move to something more expensive in the future.

A '91 Corsica is the perfect car for a beginner. The engine and drive train are virtually bulletproof and it's the perfect size for protection from impact but, not too large for tight parking lots.

That car could be a pretty good beginners car assuming that it is it pretty good shape. It should be cheap on insurance, dependable, and get decent gas mileage if properly maintained. Plus it she happens to damage it the parts are plentiful in junk yards and are usually cheap.
