I have owned many cars and I know of no other seat covering more durable than leather. It outlasts anything else. With care it lasts the life of the vehicle.

Alcantara, an artificial kind of leather, is the most durable,sturdy,luxuriant car seat fabric available. It is also one of the more expensive fabrics. It is the same fabric they use for Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

A faux leather material is typically going to be your best bet in durability. It can be easily cleaned and does not absorb liquids quickly so if you have kids or are prone to spilling your coffee, you are less likely to ruin your seats with this fabric. It comes in different grades and some are more expensive than others.
