Thyroid nodules could possibly be cancerous, though oftentimes they are not. A non-cancerous nodule can still cause some difficulties though. If they get too big, they can press on the windpipe and make it hard for you to swallow.

An abnormal growth of Thyroid cells within the thyroid to form a lump is called as Thyroid nodule. Most patients are symptom free and is discovered only on physical examination.
