The scientific name of the penguin is "Sphenisciformes", belonging to the family of "Spheniscidae", which comprises a group of flightless, aquatic birds generally found in the Southern Hemisphere. The most famous member of this group is the Emperor Penguin. Its latin name is "Aptenodytes forsteri", given in honor of German naturalist Johann Reinhold Forster.

The penguin has many names for it's many types of different speciecs. For example, the scientific name for an emperor penguin is Aptenodytes forsteri. Another example is that the scientific name for a macoroni penguin is Eudyptes chrysolophus. So to answer your question, penguins dont have a specific name. I hope that this has been helpful.
