Allow your dog to rest and recover from the surgery. Prevent him from licking/disturbing the incision site. Pain medication can be purchased from your vet if needed.

Make sure the area he sleeps is kept clean. Besides that in most cases the animal will suffer nothing and everything will heal.

First off, don't let him lick the surgery site. Keep him mostly indoors and give him a relaxed day, making sure he doesn't get too frisky during bathroom breaks outdoors. He should be fine the following day after the sedatives completely clear from his system.

A dog after neutered surgery should be taken care of just like a human. Never let it lose or leave it walk by itself. Carry it just how you carry a sheep. Never give it any hard food or bread which will make it to strain to pass motion. Take the advice of the vet.

You should let him rest and recouperate from the surgery, he will probably still be abit sleepy from it. Make sure he doesnt lick or paw at the place he was operated on, as this could make it get infected. He will be sore. Don't give him a heavy meal, but make sure he has plenty of water.
