How long must my arm remain in a sling after surgery on my rotator cuff?

After I had this procedure I was in the sling for 2 weeks, but I was told that it can vary depending on how extensive the surgery is.

This is one of those situations where you should follow your doctor's orders. Assuming you have a post-op follow-up appointment set, please wait until at least then to discuss it. Please take into consideration that you had surgery to repair a problem, and give it some time to heal properly. You do not want to repeat the experience, but worse.
