Recovery time in hospital is between two and three days. It takes a further six weeks to completely recover although you can return to work pretty soon as long as it doesn't involve any strenuous activity. While healing, make sure to take good care of your catheter. Do not lift heavy objects for at least six weeks.

Not usually, you will be tender fora few days depending on what exactly is being done. A full removal may take longer. Applying ice will speed the process.
