The outcome is pretty grim for a cure or control. About the only treatment would be chemo or radiation. Once cancer goes to the liver it spreads more easily and swiftly throughout the body. Sometimes the combination of surgery and chemo can help stall the disease for awhile. However, new treatments are discovered all the time.

If a lung cancer has spread to the liver, this is an indication of severe metastatic cancer. Though chances of remission are significantly lower, sometimes cancer that has spread to the liver can be slowed or stopped with chemotherapy agents. Your best bet is to find a specialist who specializes in treating liver cancers.

Unfortunately the prognosis is grim. the survival rate is dismal for this situation. Even if both organs are removed the survival rate is low.
