The signs are usually similar and sometimes lung cancer patients are diagnosed with something else before the true diagnosis is realized. The symptoms are coughing, pain in the upper back, coughing up blood, difficulty breathing and hoarseness. Lung cancer is typically fast growing and survival rate is usually around 2 years from date of diagnosis.
