What is the process of melting glass bottles?

A kiln is best for glass melting, but a blowtorch would probably work as well. Kilns are very expensive, but sometimes the only option for melting really thick glass.

Well if you really want to melt them, place them close to fire and they will melt very fast and rapidly. I don't recommend doing it alone though and also do it outside.

First remove all the labels in bottles. Simply soak them in hotwater,thoroughly clean the glass to remove the residue. Allow the bottle to air dry thoroughly before you fire it. Decide whether you will be slumping the glass into the mold. Hang your bottle in the klin using 20 gauge copper wire. Fire the klin to 1100 degrees Fahrenheit.
