What is the name of the spiders with stripes?

If it is a large web dwelling, outdoor spider with yellow stripes, this is the common Garden Spider. They look scarey to some but they are generally not dangerous to humans. They can bite when molested.

I have seen striped spiders such as the very large tarantulas and much smaller wolf spiders. Garden spiders such as Orb Weavers may also be striped. In the vast world of spiders, it depends upon where you are and where you are looking.
