They signify what's in and out. For serving, you have to serve in the service box marked by the lines.

The lines on the tennis court indicate boundaries for where the ball can land on a shot and where one can stand when serving. The server must stand behind the back baseline to serve and must hit the ball into the box diagonally across the court. A normal shot hit outside of the boundaries results in a lost point.

The lines limit where you are allowed to hit the tennis ball. The ball is out when no part of the ball is touching a line. There are doubles and singles limitations (lines). There is a service box and you must hit your serve in those limits.

The lines map out the boundaries of the court. The court is divided into a front court and a back court.

The lines on the tennis court signal many things. The outside lines signal out of bounds, while the inner lines show the area in which a serve must bounce to be called a legal serve.

The lines mark where the ball is supposed to be hit to on the opposite side of the net. The outer border is ok for doubles play, for instance.

The tennis court is broken into sections that are relevant for different moments of play. the 'Alley' is the side lanes and are only used for post-served rally play during Doubles. The Service Box is the 4 squares close to net, used only for serve rules.

They show what's in an what's out. The alleys down the 2 sides show that the court is wider for doubles. The lnes that create the 2 small boxes on either side are where yo have to hit the ball for a server.

serving lines, single and debel lines and ending lines. All of those lines showing the place were the players can play the balls. Every ball outside the lines is out what means a points for second player. The newest thing is that if you are not sure were the ball hit a court, you can check recorder.

They are the lines that show what is in an what is out. You must serve behind the line and serve it into the opposite box on the opponent's side of the court.
