The legal age for driving in the United States is 16. You must pass a test at the Department of Motor Vehicles. There is no limit on how old you can be to drive, but once you reach a certain age, 75+ you should consider if your driving abilities still allow you to drive safely.

Depending on the State you may have to be 15 or 16 to get a drivers permit. You drive with your parents until you get your license at 16.
