According to child labor laws a child can work at age 14 or 15 but only with written consent of a parent/guardian working 10 hours maximum. At age 16 one can work a max of 30 hours,by 18 full-time. Taxes are taken out of your paycheck.

you can work when your 15 and pay taxes, for you to be able to file a tax return , your parents cant claim you on their yearly tax returns.

The legal age in the United States is 16 years old but there are some corporations like supermarkets who will let you in at 15 years old or a paper route job which has a young age limit.
