The future of the ipod is keeping with the current trend. implementing higher resolustion screens and touch support for all models, as seen with the new ipod shuffle. I also belive we will see the same 3g support for Ipods that is implemented on the Ipad.

The future of the ipod is very strong, thank's to the many different generations of the product. I don't see any outside competition affecting them.

I think the shuffle and the classic will disappear, and we'll be looking at a range made up of the nano and the touch.

The future of the Ipod looks as though it may be endless, each year Apple comes out with new and updated models of their Ipods and with every year the technology is moving forward at a fast rate, I am sure you will want to buy the newest model.
