Vertigo is the feeling of dizziness which is caused by changes in the middle ear. Weakness is simply a loss of strength, either perceived or discovered when you attempt to do something that you can no longer do.

Vertigo is a feeling of the room spinning around when your not moving around at all. Vertigo is usually caused by a problem in the nerve structure or the inner part of your ear. Weakness is a loss of strength or reduction of your strength in one limb or side of your body.

Vertigo is a sensation that makes someone feel they are moving although they are staying in one place. Weakness of a muscle is where the muscles exert force on something and that force is less than expected. Weakness of a muscle can occur in central vertigo. However, weakness does not necessarily involve vertigo and has other causes.
