Eaves are the lower portion of your roof that are over the edge of the house. An attic is the area between the peak of your roof and the ceiling.

Eaves refer more to a structural component - they are the portion of the roof that hangs past the exterior walls of a building. Some builiding may have more prominent eaves than others. An attic is an actual space that is located below the roof of a building where the roof peaks.

Eaves are on the outside of your house and denotes the space between the edge of the roof and the outside wall. An attic is an enclosed space above the living areas of your house, inside the outside walls. An attic can be used as a storage space or, if finished, as an extension of your downstairs living space.
