What is the difference between a classical guitar and an acoustic guitar?

A classical guitar has nylon strings and an acoustic has steel strings, that's the only difference as they are pretty much the same thing.

A classical guitar is an acoustic guitar. A classical guitar is built to facilitate classical guitar method by having nylon strings and a wider fret board.

Classical guitars have broader fretboards and have nylon strings while acoustic guitars have more narrow fretboards and have steel strings.

The first difference is that acoustic guitars use steel strings, whereas classical guitars use nylon strings three of which are steel wound.Another difference is the tuning pegs generally they face outwards from the headstock of the guitar. On a classical they are facing a different way and they point towards the back side of the headstock.
