It can be both good and bad news. If a bird flies through your house and he can get out, then there is some important news. If he can't get out, then the important news is death. I have had birds fly in and out of my house a lot, and some cases I got news and others I didn't.

If a bird flies in your house, folklore and myths states important news will follow. If the bird is not able to get out, then the news will be about death.
