You know, it really depends on the plant. most hardy house plants do just fine on tap water. i have never noticed a difference with my plants while using distilled water.

Distilled water is not great for houseplants, as it has no natural minerals in it and it is typically expensive. Tap water is fine if it isn't heavily chlorinated.

The best kind is between luke warm and cool (seventy to seventy two degrees) as this temp of water will be obsorbed quickly and not drown the roots.

Tap water is best for indoor plants. Just let it set a while to come to room temp. before you water.

Many chemicals in tap water can be harmful to the plant that is why distilled water is one of the better choices for watering plants.
