Most houseplant diseases are caused by either fugus or bacteria. Some examples of plant diseases are Anthracnose, Fungal Leaf Spots and Powdery Mildew. These are fungi diseases. Bacterial Leaf Spots is a disease caused by bacteria. The tell-tale signs of fungi diseases will be in the leaves of the houseplant. Look for black spots or leaves that turn color.

Most house plants are susceptible to a variety of insects. White flies, spider mites, mealy bugs are some of the easiest to get rid of. The hardest would be called scale. Most people just throw them out because it is difficult to get rid of.

Insects are attacks the plants causes to various diseases. Especially spider,bugs,some worms are the main reasons for the plant diseases. Spiders are spread their body liquid,I cannot say what is the correct name causes to spots in the leaves. Then bugs are also spread the diseases from one plant to another plant. Next worms are eat the leaves. It is also causes down leaves.
